PIS started on Saturday with qualifying games inside groups. 16 teams in total in 4 groups were fighting for
Saturday´s advancement. Two best teams moved up directly, two others continuned in the tournament for the
placement. Saturday´s finals offered (in uncomfortable heat wave) the real streetball show. Prize money (500
euros as a whole) with other different prizes and especially the crown of “streetball king of Europe” were
sufficient motivation. It sparked a lot on the courts.
Two Slovakian teams (All IN team, Čistiaci prostriedok) went through the tournament with the czech notable teams
(Usur-pátors, Vánočkáři, Xstream Converse Team, We are not able to fly anymore). Czech final
was the battle for every single ball. At the beginning, the game was very nervous but it catched the run and
gradated in last minute. It had to be decided by free throws but Usur-pátors had nerves.
There was perfect atmosphere during both days. Crowd of people was the best motivation for all the players and they
repay by brilliant performance.
