(CZ), We are ready to die (CZ), Slam Team (CZ), 4 Fun (CZ), Slaný atak (CZ), ULDUZ (CZ)… Who did you tip to
win? There is a bridge across history of PIS 2009 and not only Czech Streetball Federation was courious who will
leave the city centre with a trophy in hands.
There were eigh best teams which got promoted to Sunday finals from four Saturday´s elimination groups. The
rest of the teams had a possibility to play for standings on 9th to 16th place. Those games went through a smaller
group because ULDUZ, the best czech junior team, boys from Slaný atak and Only Hustlaz canceled their Sunday
start. Our slovakian neighbours didn´t hesitate inside this group and won all the matches.

There were also traditional individual competitions. Eight bravemen won through international rivalry in 3pt
Shoot Out contest: Vodpadkoš (CZ), Lucas (PL), Marcel (SK), Honza Veselý (CZ), Toni (GER),
Timo (GER), Marin (RUS) and Láva (CZ). German player Toni had the best bead, Vodpadkoš didn´t
get left behind as well as Honza Veselý on the bronze position.

God didn´t want a human to fly that is why he didn´t get him wings. But this year´s Slam
Dunk Battle for Europe showed something different. Saturday jury wasn´t sure for a long time who will
jump for a challenge-cup for the best dunker. Zavka (CZ), Váca (CZ), Franta (CZ), Al Capone (CZ) and Honza
Veselý (CZ) had two attempts to show how good and creative they are. Al Capone tore away 24 points and he
became together with Zavka (20 points) an ingoing finalist. Franta and Vaca had to fight for the last qualification
place. Firstly named went forward when he won over 1 point. Boys were great in Sunday final battle but Zavka was the
best and he can deserve the titul for the best dunker.

This streetball celebration culminated on Sunday in games for 1st to 8th place. There was a double elimation round
system and a question: Are Usurpátors High 5 able to vindicate a title again and make themselves unwritten
copyright for winners of PIS?! But.. the tournament had more than one favourite from czech and foreign teams.
We could watch well-balanced game between Usurpátors High 5 with temperamental Kosovo players at the beginning
of the day. Audience could see very dramatic match where Usurpátors won 9:8.
A game between Midgets and russian team Magazin Streetball was also important for czech fans in another part of the
playing system. Unfortunately, czech boys were sent to a loosers´ part after thir 5:9 loss. Russian team was
the best in this round that is why they became finalists after their victory against Akull Team Kosova (11:5). 3rd
place… Team Akull Kosova.
Final game offered battle Usurpátors High 5 against Magazin Streetball. Czech team wanted to gain maximum but
they couldn´t stop russian “train” (07:13).
