Eleven teams met each other on Saturday 5th July 2014 after the lunch at the lower part of Wenceslas Square. They
wanted to measure their streetball power on the elite international level. All of the teams were divided into two
groups by the random draw of the lots done by
main referee. The teams has player with each other in the pools for the final seeding. The ranking after the first day
was:
Group A:
1s place: Latvia
2nd place: Spain
3rd place: Albania
4th place: Terminators (CZE)
5th place: Triple Trouble (CZE)
6th place: Yu Czech (CZE)
Group B:
1st place: Italy
2nd place: Lithuania
3rd place: Chrti (CZE)
4th place: Poland
5th place: Lamíkovi krabi (CZE)
V neděli ve stejnou hodinu pak pražské náměstí opět ožilo streetballem, a to
čtvrtfinálovými zápasy týmů postoupivších ze sobotního 3 na 3
tažení:
1/ Latvia vs. Poland
2/ Lithuania vs. Albania
3/ Italy vs. Terminators (CZE)
4/ Spain vs. Chrti (CZE)
Czech Republic as a so-called host country has been very proud of two teams who became the members of the European
elite!
Winners as well as the losers from the quarterfinal games played by the double system for the final seeding in the
tournament.
Quarterfinals has simply shown who should have been where. Losers (Latvia, Lithuania, Chrti and Terminators) fell into
the less favourite loser´s system and played for the 5th – 8th seeding. The best ones are Chrti who beated
in the Czech duel the crew Terminators (9:7) and then the team Latvia (16:14).
Final ranking (5th – 8th place):
5th place: Chrti
6th place: Latvia
7th place: Terminators
8th place: Lithuania
First semifinal games… Team Poland beated the team from Albania by the win 17:8. Was the second semifinal more
exciting? It was but… dramatic battle between Spain and Italy ended with the win for the team Italy.
It was necessary to get the audience to the boil and help the players to master the last games. There is a weapon!

By the stroke of 3 pm, Albania and Spain started nervously ticking. Who will bring home the bronze medal and who will
leave empty-handed? Unfortunately, team from Balkan said goodbye because of the loss (9:11).
Italy versus Poland. This is the superfinal. The contest between two superpowers but… Only the one can be the
champion and can take the prize money of the amount 1.500 EUR. And there are our neighbours from Poland who took
the lead and became the masters of Prague´s event!

After the weekend streetball happening in the heart of Europe, we can say the organizers managed to bring the
streetball quality to the Czech Republic. The expectations were fullfilled from all the sides, mainly from the
players but also from the side of the Mayor of Prague 1 Mr. Oldrich Lomecky. We are here for you, our players.
